'There's no reason he can't become a superstar' - Jamie Redknapp's Allan Saint-Maximin verdict

"There is no reason why this guy can't become a superstar."

That is what former England and Liverpool star Jamie Redknapp said when asked about the importance of Allan Saint-Maxim's return to Newcastle United.

Saint-Maximin had missed nine matches with a hamstring injury but made a triumphant return to the side during Saturday's 1-0 win over Chelsea.

The former Nice winger created the winning goal as his delightful in-swinging cross was headed home by Isaac Hayden to lift the roof off St James' Park.

Newcastle had won just one Premier League game during his absence and Redknapp believes the sky is the limit in terms of the potential of the 22-year-old.

"He is such a talent," Redknapp said during Sky Sports' coverage of the Magpies' win over Chelsea.

"If he can get it all together there is no reason why this guy can't become a superstar.

"He has so much pace, so much potential, he can go past people in one-on-one situations."He has just got to do it consistently."
