There's No Place Like Tyrone returns to BBC NI tonight

The second series of There's No Place Like Tyrone airs on BBC One Northern Ireland tonight, March 2.

The show, which uses a 'constructed reality' format similar to English programmes like The Only Way Is Essex and Made In Chelsea, follows the lives of families and communities in Co. Tyrone.

The light-hearted view into their lifestyle shows the day-to-day hard work of agricultural life, as well as some heart-warming moments of humour.

The show polarised viewers when it was first broadcast last year, but it's evidently popular enough that it's been commissioned for three more episodes for the second series.

Narrated by Hugo Duncan, the show follows real people and their lives in Tyrone, with scripted scenarios helping to bring the entertainment value.

The first episode of the new series follows beauty therapist Ruth, as she attempts to rope in family and friends to help with making her brother Neil's "brand spanking" new music video.

There's No Place Like Tyrone airs tonight on BBC One NI at 10.35pm and all episodes are available on BBC iPlayer.
