So many shoppers have turned up at a Swansea retail park that traffic ground almost to a halt.
People hoping to bag a bargain on Black Friday headed to the city's Morfa Shopping Park in their numbers this afternoon.
Despite the annual event being hugely popular in America, Swansea's city centre streets largely remained the same on Friday morning.
But they did get busier as the day went on and this afternoon thousands of shoppers could be seen heading to the shops at Morfa, close to the Liberty Stadium, leading to gridlock in the car park.
Queues of cars were seen trying to get in and out of the site as South Wales Police warned shoppers to be aware that the shopping park was "very busy".
The police force tweeted: "Shoppers be aware that Morfa Shopping Park is very busy due to Black Friday, 2019.
"PCSO Dix is on patrol as part of Op Wagtail deterring unwanted crime and ensuring the public have a safe and successful bargain hunt in the lead up to Christmas."
Earlier today, Savills site manager at Morfa Shopping Park, Darren Ball, said the majority of shops on the site had opened early for Black Friday.
He said: "It's busier than usual, most shops opened early this morning including PC World and Next.
"It has not been to the level of previous years where people were queuing out of the door but there is more footfall on site.
"Two or three years back it was a lot more hectic, there were queues of people waiting for stores to open.
"A lot of them (shops) have cottoned on and made it more of a two-week event rather than have it all compressed into one day."
