There's Another Recall for Potentially Deadly Youth ATVs, So Stop Riding

Building powersport machinery isn't easy, and sometimes oversights happen. But, recently, I've seen some recalls for youth ATVs that show an egregious lack of effort on behalf of the manufacturer. But I believe this most recent recall for Pulse Performance Products Electric Quad Youth ATVs is the worst.

There are many issues with these ATVs, and the first is visibility. These models are missing parking brakes and all required safety reflectors, which reduces the visibility of the youth ATV to other vehicles. Missing a parking brake or reflectors is bad, but both are just ridiculous, but that's not the only way this ATV poses a hazard.

This unit's suspension has failed to meet safety standard requirements, which poses a crash hazard and a risk of serious injury or death to the rider. Objectively speaking, this is a terribly made ATV.

The consumer Product Safety Commission (CSPC) urges consumers to stop using the ATVs immediately and dispose of them in accordance with local disposal requirements. Do not sell or give away these hazardous ATVs. Since the seller, Bravo Sports, which was previously located in Santa Fe Springs, California, is no longer in business, it's impossible to conduct a recall on the units. Although this is the business that imported the ATVs, as all units were manufactured in China.

These models were sold online at Walmart.com and may have been sold on other websites from February 2019 through June 2024 for about $340. The ATVs are black and have the number “99” in red on the front fender of the ATV. The brand name “PULSE PERFORMANCE PRODUCTS” is written in white on the body of the ATV.

The product safety warning was issued on May 15, 2025, and the product safety warning number is 25-274. You can repord incidents involving injury or Product defect to CSPC.
