There's a queer, Yiddish, anarchist, vegan, pay-what-you-can cafe opening in Glasgow

Glasgow has an embarrassment of riches when it comes to the sheer amount of cool and cosy hangout spots that populate the city where folk can head to for their caffeine fix.

And it looks like we will soon add another cafe to the city's coffee-centred landscape with the news that a queer, Yiddish, anarchist, vegan, pay-what-you-can cafe is set to open in the city at an as yet undisclosed location.

Pink Peacock, or Di Rozeve Pave in Yiddish, will be entirely pay-what-you-can down to £0, with a free fridge for people to use.

It will also be a dry space, open to people of all ages, and in doing so aims to provide Glasgow with an alternative late-night venue which isn't centred around alcohol.

The bilingual cafe will also be a community space with accessibility a major priority, with those visiting Pink Peacock able to enjoy vegan Jewish food and bottomless filter coffee.

And not forgetting the face that the cafe will be dog friendly too.

As of yet, no opening date has been announced, but those behind the new cafe advise that they are planning to do so in the next six months.

In the meantime, you can keep updated on progress via their Facebook page here.
