There's more reason for Glasgow's ever-expanding vegan community to get excited thanks to the news that a new coffee bar specialising in plant-based snacks and baking is opening its doors in Mount Florida this weekend.
Honey and Salt Coffee Bar is taking over the space vacated by the old Hampden Newsagents on Carmunnock Road near to Hampden Park.
And it will serve up speciality coffee, sourdough toasties, plant based snacks and baking to hungry locals in the southside - while being sustainability focused, environmentally conscious and mental health advocates.
All their cakes and bakes will be vegan, with gluten free raw balls and babkas on the menu every day, with caffeine lovers will be able to choose from fresh filter, guest espresso, decaf and house espresso coffee options.
While in keeping with the newsagent vibe from before, the owners will be giving away a selection of old cards each week from the thousands still in the premises.
Honey and Salt Coffee Bar opens this coming Saturday (February 22).
Opening hours will be Monday to Saturday (7am to 4:30pm) and Sunday (8am to 5pm).
