There's a Karaoke-themed disco Uber that's going around Glasgow

It's no secret that Glaswegians love a chance to get up and sing at the Karaoke, with pubs across the city packed full of folk at weekends who fancy themselves as the next Prince or Petula Clark.

And yet it seems some lucky punters have discovered one of the city's best kept secrets of the past few months - that there's a Karaoke-themed disco Uber scooting around Glasgow.

The uber driver, who goes by the name of 'Uber Mark Glasgow', has fitted his car with a karaoke app that's linked via Bluetooth to the car's speakers, with three mics and party glasses, a disco ball and, not forgetting of course, a screen for passengers to pick their songs to singalong to.

Speaking to Glasgow Live, Mark told us that "everyone loves it" and that he came up with the idea "because I want passengers to be entertained on their journeys, if they're happy it's all good."

Mark has his own Instagram and Facebook pages for passengers to post videos and pics on it.

Unfortunately, as he works via the mobile app, it's a lottery to get picked up by him be it in the city centre or in the west end of the city where he tends to operate in.

That being said, he has laid down a challenge to those who come in to his taxi in the future to try and surpass the talent shown by local band Kardo last night - singing one of their own hits.
