There's a Glasgow film locations walking tour coming to the city

Glasgow has found itself appearing on the silver and small screen on numerous occasions over the past few years thanks to the city being chosen as a filming location.

With the likes of Hobbs & Shaw, Outlaw King and most recently, 1917, all featuring scenes shot in and around the city alongside TV shows such as Shetland and Melrose.

And now people will be able to treat themselves to the ultimate Glasgow movie experience via new walking tour taking place in collaboration with Glasgow Film Festival.

 

The two hour Film Fanatics Walking Tour is being hosted by Walking Tours in Glasgow, and will allow movie fans to discover the famous and little known film locations in the city - from everything Outlander to Trainspotting.

While people will also be able to hear about Glasgow's vibrant cinema and theatre culture as well as Glasgow Film Festival's long standing history and connectivity to the city.

The tours take place on Friday, Saturday and Sundays between February 28 and March 8 (during the Glasgow Film Festival) and leave from Glasgow Cathedral at 11am.

Tickets cost £12 per person and can be booked here - with 10% of the ticket price going to Glasgow Film Theatre's youth projects.

Time to get the popcorn and the walking boots at the ready folks!
