This Halloween drive-in cinema is just the ticket to blow cobwebs off your social calendar this autumn... and an excuse to dress up too.
The Parking Lot Social is back with its interactive drive-in events at Glasgow’s Skyport for a weekend this spooky season.
Thrillers such as IT, Halloween and the Blair Witch Project are being screened at drive-through movie nights, with family-friendly sessions showing Hocus Pocus, ET and Ghostbusters.

Running from Friday 30 October to Sunday 1 November, the Halloween edition will feature classic horror films, live comedy, costume competitions, party bingo, silent discos, quizzes and food from The Big Feed.
There's also a Big Weekender bonanza for adults featuring car-aoke, drag bingo, games and live DJs keeping everyone entertained – there's also a grown-up Halloween parade (if you've got it, haunt it).
While guising is off the agenda this year, there's more in store for the kids at the event.
Social Kids events will take place on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, with youngsters able to dawn their finest Halloween costumes and enjoy a spooky silent disco, costume parade, movie quizzes and more prizes than you can shake a broomstick at.
Each hair-raising movie night experience will be brought to life with professional scare actors, designed to make you jump out of your seat.
Closing the weekend is The Parking LOL Social – an adult comedy night guaranteed to make you cackle in your car. Scottish comedian Mark Nelson is joined on the bill by Ireland’s Ryan Cullen, Edinburgh Fringe favourite Liam Withnail and Glasgow’s own Amelia Bayler.
Guests will enjoy the event from the comfort of their own car. Parked in front of a vast custom-made performance set featuring two 40ft screens, audio is transmitted directly from the stage through a dedicated FM radio channel via the car stereo.
Josh Kinnersley, Chief Operating Officer at XL Event Lab which is staging the events, said: “Glasgow was an absolute blast this summer, and with so many events selling out we had to return for an epic Halloween experience.
“Our line-up is packed with the most thrilling entertainment, and there’s really something for everyone. Whether you enjoy a spine-tingling movie or prefer an evening of belly laughs, we’ve got an event for you.
“The whole weekend is being done safely and responsibly, so guests can take part in our drive-in events without worry. We’re working closely with local authorities to make sure that everything is within the current Government guidelines, with the safety of our guests and staff our number one priority.”
