There's a difference between reality and real life

Never overestimate the intelligence of some people. A woman dialled 999 during the festive period because she couldn't get through on the Strictly Come Dancing vote line, report the Guardian and Daily Mail. Greater Manchester police said it received more than 5,000 emergency calls over Christmas but a "significant proportion" were from people who did not need the police and 72 were hoax calls, placing people's lives at risk. The woman who could not vote in Strictly Come Dancing had wanted to vote for Tom Chambers. But her emergency paled in comparison to the former topless model and ex-Emmerdale star Linda Lusardi, who rang 999 when she realised that she was going to be late for a pantomine performance.
