There's a brand new Mexican taqueria and bar opening in the city centre

A brand new Mexican taqueria and cantina bar is set to open in the city centre.

Mezcal will be launching on Hope Street in the "coming weeks," according to a job advert posted online (which you can view here.)

As far as restaurants go, this one sounds next level: They'll have live DJ sets from Thursday to Saturday and, of course, Mexican-style food and drinks.

The restaurant currently has a colourful masked wrestler mural in the windows, with a neon 'Mezcal' sign above the door.

Plans to transform 104 Hope Street have been long in the making: Glasgow City Council gave the green light to turn the former insurance brokers into a restaurant in July 2015.

We've not got much more info on this on the moment... But when we know, rest assured we'll be Jalapeño feed with the lowdown, amigos.
