A new entertainment zone has been added to the Great Manchester Run course this year, using smoke machines and music to encourage runners to the finish line.
Supported by the Haçienda, and with a playlist created by New Order and Joy Division co-founder Peter Hook, the zone will be located beneath the Deansgate arches.
The zone will feature a huge sound system as well as disco lights and a smoke machine, bringing the famed party atmosphere of the 80s and 90s to the race.
Brand new for this year, the zone will sit just 200m from the finish line, giving runners a final push to the end.
Participants will all run either 10km or a half marathon across the city on Sunday May 19.
If last year is anything to go by, around 30,000 runners will pass through the Haçienda-inspired zone next weekend.

What to expect from a stay at Alton Towers' Stargazing Pods
The half marathon is due to start at 9am in waves, with the 10km elite wheelchair race beginning at 12.30pm and the main 10km setting off around 1pm.
Both routes will start on Portland Street, with the half marathon runners heading right out towards the Etihad Stadium before turning back towards the city centre.
The second leg of the half marathon and the 10km race will both follow the same route to Old Trafford and back towards the finish line on Deansgate.
