'There is a car in my driveway with a dead body,' murder suspect says in 911 call

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. _ When Yvonne Serrano called 911 Saturday morning, she repeatedly told the dispatcher she didn't know how a dead body ended up in her driveway.

"What's going on there?" the dispatcher asks just before 6 a.m.

"I don't know," Serrano begins. "I don't know, I just walked out and there is a car in my driveway with a dead body."

Those words appear to jolt the emergency dispatcher: "With what?"

"A dead body," Serrano says.

"A dead body?" the dispatcher repeats.

The dispatcher asks Serrano how she knows the person is dead and whether she knows the person.

Serrano is silent. The dispatcher asks again.

"Do you know who it is?"

Serrano continues to describe the vehicle. She tells the dispatcher it's hard to tell who it is because there is blood, but she thinks the person has been there for a while. She also tells the dispatcher that she does not see a weapon in the car.

Near the end of the five-minute 911 call, Serrano says that she just walked outside and saw the woman's body.

Police say Serrano, 51, had gone to a movie with 21-year-old Daniela Tabares of Coral Springs as well as other members of the Coral Springs gym, Fit Bodies Forever _ Training for Warriors. The group then went to World of Beer in Coconut Creek.

Surveillance video shows Serrano and Tabares leaving the bar together about 1:30 a.m. Saturday, police said.

Serrano woke up in Tabares' car, washed her blood-stained clothes and erased video footage from her Ring door camera, police said. She later told police she had no recollection of getting home from World of Beer.

Serrano faces murder and tampering with evidence charges.

Serrano made a brief first appearance before a judge Monday morning. Serrano invoked her right to remain silent.

Judge Daniel Kanner ordered that Serrano be held without bond.
