Theo Walcott opens up on his Everton resurgence as winger aims for further improvement

Theo Walcott has opened up on the form that has seen him earn his place in the Everton starting line-up on a regular basis once again.

The 30-year-old has started each of the Blues' last four Premier League matches, and was influential when coming off the bench for the second half of the club's Carabao Cup win over Watford last month.

Before this run, the former Arsenal man's only start came against Manchester City, but he was forced off in the early stages of that game after suffering a concussion.

However, Walcott has now fully earned his place back in Marco Silva's side and is pleased with his increased form, despite not yet finding himself on the scoresheet this term.

"I'm personally pleased," Walcott told evertontv.

"Obviously I've worked very hard to get into the starting line up and I just want to stay there.

"Results have picked up as well which is always a positive when you're in the team, the team is winning and doing well. That's always a nice feeling.

"I missed the Burnley game because of precautions of concussion and, before that, I'd worked so hard to get in the team against Man City and obviously that (the concussion) happens.

"But you can't dwell on it really, you just need to focus on the next day and try to get back and look forward to training again. That's all I could do.

"Then the manager has given me a chance to get back in the team and I thank him for that and hopefully I can just stay there and the team can keep climbing up the table."
