One of Bristol's best-loved music venues has announced its plans to reopen.
After shutting its doors in mid-March Thekla is set to return with a new dockside bar, using its spacious outside seating area to welcome people in a safe and socially distanced environment.
Overlooking the harbour, groups of friends can book a table before arriving to ensure a space, with playlists curated by the venue's resident DJs to make a visit feel as close to the real Thekla experience as possible.
The new bar launches on Friday, July 31 with tickets available now.
A Thekla spokesperson said: "It’s here! The new Dockside Bar from the team at Thekla.
"Come and join us on deck for our new socially distanced outdoor bar in the lovely Bristol Harbour.
"We have created a clean and safe drinking area for you to enjoy a pint with us at your favourite Bristol venue.
"We’ve taken all measures possible to ensure we can open in some form, with safety as our top priority."
The venue has not yet announced when it will resume its club nights or live schedule.
Its website states hip hop artist Leaf Dog is lined up to perform in the famous hull on July 30, followed by stalwart Liverpool band Space on August 22, but it is unclear if these shows will go ahead.
Last year Thekla underwent a major £1 mil refurbishment, with workers at the Albion Dry Dock welding a new steel offset hull designed to secure its long-term future.

To book a table for Thekla's new al fresco bar, visit Thekla's website and select which session you would like to attend, and for how many people.
Sessions last for two and a half hours with a £20 deposit required for advanced bookings which can be used as a bar tab.
