Their relationship was on the rocks after a threesome and an affair - then they had sex on tele

A couple who took part in a TV show where they had sex on camera say that it has saved their relationship.

Club owner, Brian Matthews, 35, and his girlfriend Victoria Obahor, 28, went on Channel 4’s Sex Tape to save their three-year relationship.

After admitting to initially having an experimental relationship - they once had a threesome with another woman - Victoria was devastated to find out that Brian had an affair.

Since then trust, issues have rocked their relationship, so she decided to apply for the programme, in a bid to bring them back together.

Victoria said: “I was very nervous because it was me that applied for the show, I wanted to show Brian how he treats me, so I was nervous for him because the way he treated me was disgusting.

“I was looking to see his reaction, which made me nervous, but Brian is just Brian.”

Once they’d been filmed doing the deed, the couple watched the tape alongside two other couples and relationship expert Anjula Mutanda to find out what was going wrong.

Victoria, who says she felt like a 'bored housewife', spoke of her worry about having sex for the TV show, and admitted that she was going to dump Brian if he didn’t change his ways.

She said: “It’s underneath the covers but knowing that there’s a camera watching the covers, that’s daunting.

“When Anjula asked what I was going to end up doing. I was basically saying ‘if he doesn’t change his ways, then we’re finished’.”

Shocked Brian said the experiment opened his eyes to the way he treats his partner, and he is now striving to try harder.

“Victoria used to say I was a male chauvinist and a bit old fashioned in my values, and it certainly showed in the video,” he said.

“Things like, I don’t go into the kitchen, I don’t know what to do in the kitchen, I don’t even know where the cutlery is, old fashioned in that way, like ‘I’m hungry Victoria, can I get something to eat, can you do this, can you do that?’.

“At the weekends I was out with the boys, no phone call or anything, Victoria didn’t really have a say in it, I was out partying doing what I liked, it looked bad, it looked bad.”

While Victoria is unlikely to get a ring on her finger anytime soon, Brian says he is now 'making more of an effort'.

Sex Tape starts on Channel 4 on Friday, April 26, at 10pm.
