The Tricycle Theatre has to date staged five plays by the late August Wilson, each of them detailing a decade of the African-American experience in the 20th century. After Joe Turner's Come And Gone, The Piano Lesson, Two Trains Running, King Hedley II and Gem Of The Ocean comes the final play in a series of 10, completed just before the author's death in 2005. Radio Golf was staged on Broadway two years later and won four Tony award nominations for its story of politics and black aspiration. Radio Golf chronicles the rise of Harmond Wilks, an upwardly mobile, charming and powerful property developer with political ambitions. But the path to success proves to be not that easy. Paulette Randall directs this British premiere and a cast that includes Roger Griffiths as Wilks, Danny Sapani and Ray Shell.
