Theatre preview: Gigi, London

There are some golden oldies in Lerner and Loewe's Gigi, the tale of the education and awakening of a young Parisian girl, based on a story by Colette. Among the cast are Topol, known best for playing Tevye in Fiddler On The Roof; Millicent Martin, who has gone from the 1960s satire of That Was The Week That Was, via Sondheim onstage, to US sitcom Frasier, and Linda Thorson, who was Tara King in The Avengers and more recently a mother from hell in Emmerdale.
