Paris Saint-Germain may already have an alternative lined up if Mauricio Pochettino does leave ahead of next season.
Pochettino has been linked with a return to Tottenham with Spurs chief Daniel Levy still searching for a permanent replacement for Jose Mourinho, who was sacked in April.
But having only joined PSG in January, the French club have been firm in their stance over Pochettino, making it clear he will not be allowed to leave ahead of next season.
That stance saw Tottenham pivot and begin talks with former Chelsea and Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte, who later rejected the north London club due to the lack of funds available to sign new players.
Where Spurs turn next remains to be seen, but they could yet take a bigger run at Pochettino in a bid to bring the Argentine back to where he did so well previously, in what would be a dream appointment for most at the club.
And they might just want to if a report from Le10 Sport is to be believed.
The French outlet report PSG are lining up Zinedine Zidane, who left Real Madrid at the end of the season, in case Pochettino does end up departing, in a major managerial twist.
Zidane is available for free having walked out on his Los Blancos contract, and he is well-liked by PSG, who watched in envy as he made history with Real Madrid across two spells, winning three consecutive Champions League titles, a title that has eluded PSG so far.
The report claims PSG are lining up a possible offer for Zidane 'in case Pochettino expresses his desire to leave', which will give Spurs fans real confidence of a possible deal.
It was been well publicised that Pochettino has not found life easy in Paris, living in a hotel while his family remain in England, and it does seem the door could be open after all if he does demand a move back to Spurs.
