It’s a youth movement in the NFL.
There are now a bunch of head coaches who are 40 years old or under, and as of recently, there was Sean McVay who was the youngest of the bunch.
Not anymore. In 2024, the New England Patriots replaced Bill Belichick with linebackers coach and former player Jerod Mayo, who retired from the NFL in 2016. And now he’s taken the title!
So who are the other youngest coaches in the league? A good question! We’ve got the list below and we’ll add to it if there are other younger hires made in the 2024 NFL offseason:
