Brendan Cole was accused of making a rather "b****y" comment to teen YouTube twins on Celebrity X Factor tonight.
As each of the contestants made their first live performance on the new series, Brendan was heard making a snarky comment about the 16-year-olds.
As singing duo and social media sensations Max and Harvey took to the stage to perform, Brendan and Jeremy Edwards were eyeballing the teenagers.
Brendan confessed as he watched: "They say they've got eight million across social media but the reality is they've only got a chunk on each, and it's all the same."
But his comment sent Twitter into uproar as fans branded the star as "jealous" and "bitter".

One infuriated fan wrote: "Twins “we have 8 million followers on YouTube” Brendan Cole “they say they’ve 8 million but really it’s just a chunk. It's all the same people” Sour much?? Hahahahaha."
Another complained: "Brendan Cole and whoever he's with are so bitter they're jealous mate"
A third questioned: "@BrendanCole why his he back on TV what a p***k slagging the two twins".

Canadian comedian and actor Howie Mandel who joined the judges laughed and pointed: "He has five million, he has three."
Max joked: "Wow, I used to really admire you Howie."

And Dermot O'Leary who hosts the show quipped: "Sassy!"
The twins pulled heartstrings when Simon asked: "Would you say it is your supporters that gave you the confidence to come here?"
And both of the boys nodded while Max added: "Absolutely, they support us one hundred percent of the way."
