Before the next Guardian Edinburgh International Television Festival gets underway, Monkey felt the need to revisit one of the highlights from last year: a warts-and-all therapy session where TV producers share the worst programmes they have ever made.

Recorded in front of a live audience, the makers of such turkeys as Beat the Crusher with Freddie Starr (Sky One), Club X (Channel 4), Celebrity Wrestling (ITV1) and Don't Scare the Hare (BBC1) discuss what went wrong and how they picked themselves up.

There's also some helpful insight from Marcus Child about how to pick yourself up once those Barb ratings confirm your biggest fears.
