The worst areas in Leeds for Covid-19 right now as Tier 3 talks continue

An interactive map shows the areas which have the highest coronavirus rates across Leeds, as talks about moving the city -and all of West Yorkshire - into Tier 3 continue.

Hyde Park Corner & Woodhouse Cliff, Hyde Park and University & Little Woodhouse all continued to post high numbers of cases, with their infection rates significantly higher than the rest of Leeds.

Leeds has recorded 443 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the city's total to 18,541.

In total, a further 2,628 people have tested positive for the disease in Yorkshire and 23 coronavirus-related deaths have been reported in the past 24 hours.

None were reported in Leeds hospitals.

Seven–day rates are expressed per 100,000 population and are calculated by dividing the seven-day count by the area population and multiplying by 100,000.

All data used in the map are available in the public domain and may be downloaded from the relevant section of the website or via the API.

From left to right, the data shows each areas total cases through the last seven days, with the rates per 100,00 in brackets.
