Chris Sutton believes Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s latest interview proves he is unhappy at Arsenal.
The current Gunners skipper will soon be into the final 12 months of his contract at the Emirates Stadium and there is no sign of a new deal forthcoming.
And speaking over the weekend Aubameyang confirmed that nothing has been decided over his future, but did admit that his next decision will be the biggest of his career.
"Recently I haven't received an offer but of course there have been discussions with the club," he told French outlet Telefoot. "It's them [the club] who have the keys and for them to do their work. Afterwards, we will see what happens.
"It is a turning point in my career. I have been very frank with everyone. It will be of course a very difficult decision to make.
"It is possibly the most important decision of my career. But so far nothing has been decided."
And Sutton believes the forward should look to move on if his aim is win trophies as he has more chance of doing so with other clubs who would likely be interested in him this summer.
“He is clearly unhappy because he didn’t have to say what he said,” he told BBC Radio 5 Live on Monday night.
“And if he wanted to win things, with the greatest respect, he wouldn’t want to sign for Arsenal again, would he, there will be other suitors after him.
“You mentioned his age, 31, he can’t afford to be hanging around at Arsenal in their position at the moment.
“There is always turmoil at Arsenal. Arteta comes in and steadies the situation and then all of a sudden this whole situation comes out of nowhere hasn’t it.
“For Aubameyang to come out and speak like that because he could have said nothing. The fact he was strong and talked about a turning point.”
