Is there a less likely showbiz couple for 2008 than George Clooney and Ginger Spice? Please leave your suggestions, if you can think of any, in the Comments section, but LiS will take some convincing...
I ask because following his admission that he thought Ginger Halliwell the best of a bad bunch, Clooney has found himself facing 'encouragement' from the other Spice Girls to take her on a date.
When they appeared on the TV show Good Morning America, Posh Spice said: 'He should invite her out for dinner. Definitely.'
And a couple of the others, through gritted teeth, backed her up. (Eg. Mel B: 'She is single, take her out.')
Quite why they think that Clooney, who is going out with someone pretty and normal called Sally Larsen, but otherwise has a slightly complicated attitude to dating, which once prompted him to explain he preferred his pig to most other potential life partners, would do this I don't know. Or, perhaps...
But I reckon the other girls just got a bit cross that he'd said he likes Ginger best, and thought they'd get revenge by pointing out that she's available on television... Not everyone can have a husband with enormous assets , eh Victoria?
