The World of Norm: May Need Filling In by Jonathan Meres - review

Jonathan Meres, The World of Norm: May Need Filling In

The World of Norm is a series of hilarious books with lots of funny fonts and crazy cartoons. The main character is Norm (short for Norman), who thinks everything (repeat EVERYTHING) is unfair. He is 'nearly 13', as he always says. He likes bikes more than anything else, and he's always browsing the web looking for new little gadgets and thingumabobs to 'pimp up' his bike with.

'The World of Norm: May Need Filling in' is one of those books where you write in your personal details, and do lots of quizzes and puzzles about the series.

There are fun activities like 'Would you rather…' Would you rather find yourself naked in a cinema? Or find yourself naked in a supermarket? Would you rather go to Ikea? Or go to school? Would you rather eat a toothpaste sandwich? Or eat a raw onion?

This is the first World of Norm book I've read, but I immediately went and got more at the library. They are quick and funny, and perfect for when you can't get to sleep at night.

I recommend these to young boys who like the Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Tom Gates series. They are quite similar. I rate this book 8 1/3 out of 10.
