The World Cup fan parks where you can watch Wales play

Football fans will be able to embrace the football spirit during the forthcoming World Cup without travelling overseas as lots of venues are organising fan parks which will show Wales in action.

Gareth Bale and his men are the first Welsh side to qualify for the prestigious tournament for decades and fans are excited to cheer them on - even if they can't make it to Qatar, where the matches are taking place.

So far, Wales is set to play on the following dates:

  • November 21- USA v Wales
  • November 25- Iran v Wales
  • November 29- England v Wales

Here we look at the fan parks that are being set up for people to come together in Wales and cheer on the squad and enjoy other matches too. If your fan park is missing, please email bethany.gavaghan@walesonline.co.uk.

Singleton Park, Swansea

Fan Park Swansea is going to be screening every Word Cup match from November 20 to December 18. The Big Top has gone up and everyone has been working hard to get everything ready for the first days they open.

Entry to the venue is free, subject to capacity, but it is also possible to reserve a table for up to eight people. You can read more about this here.

Cardigan

With two big screens, a bar, hot food and plenty of singing set to take place, organisers at Cardigan Castle are hoping their event will be one to remember. Entry is £3.00 per person not including food or drink.

The game will be shown on S4C with commentary in Welsh. The castle will be screening the England v Wales game on November 29 from 6:30pm- 10:30pm

Welshpool Town Hall

A group space where people can watch the Welsh games together, has been set up by the council. Families have been invited to view the matches in the Town Hall as they will be screened using a projector.

Ben Gwalchmai who is the councillor which organised the event said: "The fanzone was born out of discussions with friends, some of whom are part of The Red Wall who can't afford to go to Qatar and don't necessarily want to go to a pub. But do want a feeling of community spirit - especially in the coming winter of discontent.

"When I put the idea forward, other councillors saw it as I do: a means for us to do something positive, community building, nation building, and to celebrate Wales' place in the World Cup with as many of the people of Welshpool that want to come to a family-friendly space."

The dates the council is holding events include November 21 6:30pm for 7pm start, November 25 9:30am for 10am start and November 29 6:30pm for 7pm start.

Three venues have been confirmed that they will also be holding screenings.

The Turf Hotel in Wrexham is hosting a medium sized fan zone for the following games November 21 (Gates open at 2:30pm) and November 29.

Two Fanzones are also being set up on the High Street and Tŷ Pawb.

Big screens will be put up at both locations and Tŷ Pawb will be a dedicated family friendly Fanzone.

On the High Street the evening matches will have live entertainment on a large stage.

The Fanzones will be supporting not only the Welsh team in the competition but also the daytime and evening economies in Wrexham.

Merthyr

Merthyr Town Football Club is also hosting events on the following dates - November 21 7pm, November 25 10am and November 29 7pm.

The events are free, with families also being welcome.

The Castle pub in Caernarfon is also hosting fanzones for all the games where Wales is playing in the World cup, which was organised by the pub’s manager- Gwyndaf Jones.
