'The world became a darker place' Grieving loved ones of tragic Gregor McIntosh raise over £5k for his funeral

Devastated loved ones of a tragic teenager who died in a car crash on the A9 have raised over £5,000 for his funeral.

, 16, was killed after a three car collision at around 6.55pm on Friday at the junction of the B9161 to Munlochy.

The crash involved a white Nissan Juke, a red Vauxhall Corsa and a blue VW Polo.

Gregor, who was a passenger of the Vauxhall Corsa, passed away from his injuries.

Grieving friends and family have rallied round to raise money for the 'one of a kind' teenager's funeral through a Go Fund Me page.

The fundraiser, was set up by Ellie Campbell.

A statement from Ellie on the page read: "The world became a darker place when Gregor passed away on Saturday, December 21.

"Gregor deserves the best send off we can possibly give him.

"Hopefully this will ease the burden of this for his family aswell. 

"Everyone is absolutely heartbroken and it hasn’t set in for the majority of us yet. 

"This is for you Gregor.

"We all love you and hope we do you proud."

Tributes have been paid to the popular teenager on social media.

One Twitter Casey Gordon posted: "Rest easy Gregor, you will be missed by so, so many.

"You never know what’s round the corner, yet another life taken far too early."

On Facebook Stuart MacKenzie wrote: "RIP Greg, rest easy up there brother.

"You'll always be remembered."

Annie Kirsty said: "Taken far too young, rest easy Gregor."

Marianna Maclean posted: "One of a kind you were, Gregor."

Brandon Ewen added: "Rest in peace, Gregor McIntosh.

"I'll never forget you until I die my brother."

Sergeant Angus Murray of Police Scotland's road policing unit at Dingwall said: "Our thoughts remain with Gregor's family and friends at this very sad time.

"Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the crash and we are grateful to the members of the public who have assisted us already.

"I would ask anyone who has information, in particular drivers with dash-cam footage which might help with our investigation to call us."
