The Works is selling an 'amazing deal' in its Nottingham intu Victoria Centre store

One shop in Nottingham currently has an "brilliant" deal going on.

intu Victoria Centre's The Works lets customers grab 20 cards for just one pound.

So that means if you have any occasions coming up - now is the time to stock up on cards.

But this is the only store offering the deal after Nottingham's other The Works store, located on Long Row, said it wasn't taking part in the offer.

The deal was also spotted in The Works' Leicester store where a staff member confirmed it was not a mistake.

One shopper told LeicestershireLive: “It’s truly amazing. I can see that it might be 59p each and then two or three for a quid but 20 - that’s crazy.

“I thought it might be a mistake and asked the assistant and she told me it was right.

“It would silly not to take advantage, so I got a pound out and bought 20 cards.”

Another customer said: "This is incredible. I am telling all of my family."

A staff member at the intu Victoria Centre store also confirmed that there is a student shopping night at the shopping centre so it's perfect for freshers.

This is not the only shop offer that has got shoppers thinking recently.

One offer that did not add up and made customers giggle was on offer at Wilko.

A display at one of the company’s store’s lit up social media.

A cracking deal (LeicestershireLive)

A wheelbarrow which was previously £36, had been put on the shop floor with a red sign - often symbolic of a reduction.

However, on closer inspection, it appeared the item couldn't be further from a 'deal' if it tried.

The product, Wilko's 'galvanised steel wheelbarrow 85L' had been listed for £36, despite previously being £18.

Its former price - the cheaper rate - had been slashed, and replaced by a 'You save -£18' sign - and shoppers found it hilarious online.
