The wonderful unseen gestures of goodwill behind the scenes at Swansea City

The 2018/19 campaign has certainly been a turbulent one for Swansea City.

From the pain of the transfer windows to the news of potential redundancies at the club, there have been difficult times for everyone connected to the Swans.

But behind the scenes, the club have continued to show they are a cut above the rest.

As part of Level Playing Field’s Weeks of Action - a programme designed to allow disabled supporters' associations (DSA) to join together to celebrate the matchday experience - 90 members of Swansea's own DSA were treated to a Q&A session at the Liberty Stadium with club ambassadors Leon Britton and Lee Trundle, along with current first-team star Nathan Dyer.

Members were treated to refreshments - provided by new sponsor Budget Carpets - and donated raffle prizes while Denise Ruffell of the stadium's ticket office was presented with the Unsung Hero Award at the event.

In addition to the evening at the Swans' Liberty Stadium home, Chris Pearlman, the club's chief operating officer, kindly welcomed 20 members of the DSA to enjoy a tour of Swansea's Fairwood training base.

Members were allowed to watch a first-team training session, have photos with players and the coaching staff as well as being shown the bowels of the Swans' luxury Fairwood facility.

Each of the 20 members who attended the tour were given their own shirt by the club's kit team.

Following their 2-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest at the City Ground after the international break, Swansea welcomed Brentford to the Liberty Stadium, with Graham Potter's side enjoying a fine 3-0 win over the Bees.

And the Swans' DSA kindly donated a wheelchair to the club ahead of the game against Thomas Frank's side. It will be used to aid both home and away supporters in the ground.

It's further proof that no matter how hard things have been for the Swans, those who work hard behind the scenes continue to be a credit to the club.
