The woman who always replaces Dobby's grave on a Welsh beach every time it's stolen

For devoted Harry Potter fans, visiting the final resting spot of Dobby in order to pay respects to one of the heroes of the wizarding world has become a must.

An 'unofficial' gravestone to the famous fictional character at Pembrokeshire's Freshwater West beach has attracted fans from all over the world.

Many write their own messages to the JK Rowling favourite, who died at the hands of Bellatrix Lestrange after rescuing Harry and friends from Malfoy Manor in the Deathly Hallows.

But many were left gutted when they found out that the 'grave' had vanished from the beach , presumably stolen.

Kaiye Nazer decided to step forward and do something about it. She did not like the thought of young children and fans being unhappy that it could no longer be found.

The 49-year-old, who has recently moved to Pembroke Dock from Wembley in London, made a replacement headstone and left it there for fans to enjoy.

But despite her best efforts, the gravestones have continued to vanish.

Mrs Nazer has created four different replacements - and three of them have gone missing.

She explained: "We've not long moved here and I took my kids to Freshwater. My daughter is a big fan of Harry Potter, as is my mother-in-law, and they were excited when we found it.

"But we went back a couple of weeks later and it was gone. I decided to create another headstone and put it back there for people to discover and enjoy. A month later, it had gone again.

"I thought, 'OK, I will do another one' but then that disappeared after two days! I created a third one and that one lasted a bit longer but it has gone again.

"I've put a fourth one there now, and have not been down to see if it's still there since. I've added another message on another stone which reads 'Do not steal Dobby's headstone'."

Mrs Nazer said she suspected it was holidaymakers who were taking the novelty headstones, as she did not think a true Harry Potter fan would do such a thing.

She has now taken to adding her own initials, rather than HP, in an attempt to make people realise it is not authentic.

"Harry Potter fans would appreciate it being there, but holidaymakers probably think 'It's a novelty, I will have it'," she said.

"It only takes me 10 minutes to do but it makes me feel happy as I know Harry Potter fans young and old will take happiness from finding it.

"It brings people to the beach and it's harmless if it makes people happy. It is important to a lot of people. I have been given the name 'Dobby's freedom keeper' by the people who know I do it!"
