The Wolves record to end Liverpool's unbeaten run and spare the Arsenal Invincibles

Arsenal's record as the only team to finish a Premier League season unbeaten is under serious threat this year.

Liverpool have won an incredible 21 out of 22 games this season, with only Manchester United preventing them from having a spotless record in the league.

While performances have not always been perfect, Jurgen Klopp's side are entering the home stretch of the season with Arsenal's record still in sight.

The achievement set in 2003/04 is one of the hardest to match in all of sport, and while there are still tough matches remaining in their 16 fixtures left, few will be as difficult as Thursday night's.

Liverpool travel to Molineux hoping to pick up yet another three points, but will face one of the toughest competitors out there for sides in the top six.

Since the beginning of last season, only Liverpool and Manchester City have managed more points against established top-six opposition than Wolves, who have taken 24.

The two sides met at Anfield just before the New Year, with the Reds edging a narrow 1-0 win over Nuno Espirito Santo's side.

There was the usual dose of VAR controversy in the first fixture, as Sadio Mane's goal was originally ruled out by referee Anthony Taylor for a handball in the build-up by Adam Lallana.

However, following input from VAR, that decision was overturned.

Then, Wolves had a goal just before half-time ruled out for offside by VAR. Santo's side showed they were no pushovers, and are sure to provide another tough encounter for the team chasing the Invincibles tag.
