Netflix has announced the main cast and creative team for its upcoming live-action prequel series, The Witcher: Blood Origin, including Sex Education, Marvel and It’s A Sin stars.
The six-episode limited series will chronicle the origins of the very first Witcher and the events that led to the Conjunction of the Spheres, when the worlds of monsters, men and elves collided to become one some 1,200 years before the events of The Witcher.
Between August’s The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf anime prequel film and Henry Cavill’s The Witcher season two , fans have lots to look forward to over the next year as the fantastical world of Geralt and The Witcher expands even further.

Who is in The Witcher: Blood Origin cast?
Mirren Mack
Scottish stage and screen actress Mirren Mack will play Merwyn, one of the series leads for The Witcher: Blood Origin.
Mack is known for her roles in Netflix’s Sex Education and BBC’s drama series The Nest alongside Sophie Rundle and Line of Duty’s Martin Compston.
Lenny Henry
British acting and presenting legend Lenny Henry has joined the cast of The Witcher: Blood Origin as Balor.
Henry has long been one of Britain’s best-known and most-loved personalities, appearing in TV programmes including BBC’s The Magicians, sitcom Chef! and children’s entertainment show Tiswas. He will also appear in Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming Lord of the Rings series.
Outside of his acting and presenting work, the comedian and singer is also known for co-founding the charity Comic Relief in 1985.
Jacob Collins-Levy
Jacob Collins-Levy will play Eredin in The Witcher prequel.
The British-Australian actor’s breakout role was as Henry VII in Starz’ 2017 series The White Princess, starring alongside Jodie Comer. He has also appeared in Doctor Who , Young Wallander and True History of the Kelly Gang.
Nathaniel Curtis
Nathaniel Curti, who will play Brían in Netflix’s upcoming series, is a British actor best known for his role as Ash in Channel 4’s hit drama series It’s A Sin , which was incidentally his first on-screen role.
The East 15 Acting School alumnus also has theatre credits in Shakespeare in the Garden’s productions of The Tempest and Romeo and Juliet.
Dylan Moran
Another main cast addition is Irish comedian, actor and poet Dylan Moran, who will play Uthrok One-Nut.
Moran’s past film and TV credits include Run Fatboy Run, Uncle, Shaun of the Dead, Good Vibrations and the Channel 4 sitcom Black Books. He is a regular performer at comedy festivals around the world, including the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
