A dramatic video shows a fire at The Wisp in Edinburgh tonight. A local sent the video to Edinburgh Live alerting us that they had dialled 999 and that fire engines had raced to the scene at around 18:45pm.
In the video shot by concerned local Iain Kay, a passenger in the car can be heard saying: "That's a massive fire, I reckon we should call...Omg that's massive."
The Wisp is a popular new build estate in Edinburgh situated in between Danderhall and Newcraighall.
Scottish Fire and Rescue confirmed to Edinburgh Live that they had dispatched fire engines to the scene and that the blaze was being extinguished. It is not yet known what the circumstances surrounding the fire are.
Police Scotland confirmed that they were aware of the fire at The Wisp this evening, but that Edinburgh police were not required to attend.
