The wild scenes at Manchester United v Cardiff City as Bluebirds fans celebrate humiliating Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team

It's been a long old season for Cardiff City's fans who were due a day to remember.

And Neil Warnock's side gave them one at Old Trafford as they humiliated Manchester United 2-0 on the final day.

A brace from Nathaniel Mendez-Laing rocked the home team, and the 3,059 travelling Bluebirds fans, many of them in fancy dress, shook the stadium with their wild celebrations.

Some brilliant photographs captured the scenes in the crowd, while the players also celebrated a day to remember in style.

There was a lovely moment for the departing Aron Gunnarsson as supporters performed an Icelandic thunderclap as he left the pitch.

It was a superb way for the Bluebirds to end what was ultimately a disappointing season, with Warnock picking an attacking side that featured the likes of Kenneth Zohore, Mendez-Laing, Josh Murphy and Bobby Reid.
