The Who have announced their first show in Cincinnati since the pre-concert tragedy 40 years ago, where 11 fans died in a stampede.
A further 24 people were injured in the incident on 3 December 1979, which was blamed on confusion and a lack of preparation for the thousands of fans queueing to get the best seats.
Remaining original members Roger Daltrey and guitarist Pete Townshend, who were not informed about the incident until the concert was ending, have said they have been "haunted" by the tragedy.
"Now we can have a conversation about it when we go back," Townshend told The Associated Press.
"We will meet people and we'll be there. We'll be there. That's what's important. I'm so glad that we've got this opportunity back."
The band will perform at Northern Kentucky University's BB&T Arena on 23 April, and donate a portion of proceeds from the Cincinnati area to a memorial concert benefiting students in the suburb of Finneytown.
