The Who are coming to Glasgow with full orchestra as part of epic arena tour

The Who have announced they will perform in Glasgow next spring as part of their UK arena tour - and they are bringing a full orchestra with them.

The legendary rockers revealed today that they will hit the road in 2020 to celebrate the release of their first album in 13 years.

Spring 2020 will see the band embarking on a series of shows across the UK and perform their biggest hits alongside a 40-piece orchestra.

The band will perform in Glasgow at the SSE Hydro on March 23. Other tour stops include Manchester, Newcastle and Dublin.

The group, who have sold more than 100 million albums worldwide, will release their latest album, WHO, on November 22, 2019.

Singer Roger Daltrey rates it amongst their strongest “I think we’ve made our best album since Quadrophenia in 1973, Pete hasn’t lost it, he’s still a fabulous songwriter, and he’s still got that cutting edge”.

Tickets for the new tour will go on sale on September 20 at 10am via Ticketmaster.
