Your stay at The White Lotus Hotel (and your viewing of The White Lotus series) has been extended because season 2 is officially in the works.
Variety reports that HBO has ordered a second season of the hit drama series, which tells the story of the staff and guests of a lush Hawaiian hotel.
Sadly for stans who have been loving the Hawaiian setting and the viral moments from stars like Jennifer Coolidge, Connie Britton and Molly Shannon, the show is hitting refresh with a new crop of characters and a new location for season 2.

HBO told the publication that the second season will leave Hawaii “and follows a different group of vacationers as they jet to another White Lotus property and settle in temporarily amongst its inhabitants.”
Series creator Max White, who wrote and directed every episode of the first season, previously told IndieWire that the aim is for the series to follow an anthology-style, with a new resort in a different part of the world each season, which will obvs have different guests and a different kooky staff.
Light bulb moment: Can you IMAGINE a season set in Australia at, like, Hamilton Island or Byron Bay? Heaven!

He also teased that “some of [the original characters] would come back” in future seasons to play the same characters. Intriguing!
According to HBO, The White Lotus is “currently ranking #1 among all series on HBO Max,” and “has achieved consistent week over week growth for both premiere and digital audience, leading into the finale episode.”
The White Lotus is available to stream now on Binge, with the sixth and final episode set to premiere on Monday, 16 August, AEST.
