The white England EURO 2020 home shirt is back in stock

As the old saying goes, it's better to be late than never.

The semi-final victory over Denmark on Wednesday (July 7) led to an unprecedented online surge with England's white home shirt sold out across all of the major retailers.

Sites recorded more than 1,000 sales per minute and opportunists took their chance to make a profit, listing the jersey at over seven times its RRP on auction site eBay.

Today, kit manufacturer Nike have turned up to the party with a crate of beer just as the music has shut off and the taxis are lining up to take people home.

As well know all too well, England's EURO 2020 dream ended in penalty shoot-out disappointment once again.

To look at it from a more optimistic perspective, however, it is safe to say that it was a Championship that the team can take plenty of pride in.

Yes, it's true: the shirt won't be present in iconic, timeless footage and photographs of the team hoisting the trophy aloft.

It may yet still be remembered, though, as being part of an era for which the story is not over.

Gareth Southgate is keen to press on and continue at the helm and the wait for the World Cup is not as agonizingly long as normal.

Like Turboman on Boxing Day, stocks have now been replenished.

And if you want to get your hands on the England EURO 2020 home kit, you can do so by heading to the Nike website now.
