The Green and White Army have been hailed as the best fans in the world - by the Rotterdam Police Force.
Over 3,500 Northern Ireland supporters made the trip to Holland for Thursday's Euro 2020 qualifier.
Despite leading through Josh Magennis's 75th-minute header, Michael O'Neill's side fell to a 3-1 defeat at the De Kuip stadium.
It was a spirited effort from O'Neill's side who were cheered on by a proud away support.
One of those travelling fans was Ross Walker, who grabbed a quick photograph with some Dutch police officers before the game.
The impromptu picture led to a brilliant WhatsApp exchange between Ross and one of the officers.
"On Thursday before the Dutch game in Rotterdam city centre, we asked the Dutch police for a quick photo," Ross explained.
"After we got the photo, one of the police officers asked me to send him the photograph we had taken.
"So I added him on WhatsApp and fired the photo over to him.
"To be honest, I didn't expect anything back, but then I got a reply on Saturday of a photograph of a pint of Guinness and the message 'Cheers from Rotterdam Police Force . You are the best fans in the world'.
"Fair play to him for letting us take the photo, and then getting back to us."
