Wales has seven Michelin star restaurants as well as tens of other restaurants loved by critics and regulars alike.
But, how long do you have to wait for a table at the best rated, and best loved venues in Wales?
We gave some of the best restaurants a call to see how hard getting a table for two on Saturday night would be.
Here's what they said at the time we went to press, from the longest to the shortest wait...
Sosban and The Old Butchers - Next year
More dates will be released in September, but they were fully booked on Saturday evenings for the rest of the year.
You can check their online booking system to check for cancellations, but these will be snapped up quickly.

Ynyshir Restaurant and Rooms - October
If trying this Michelin-starred eaterie is on your booking list, you’ll have to be patient because they are fully booked until October for Saturday evening sittings.
Keep your eyes peeled as more dates will be released on July 2 at 7am.
It’s worth noting that you will need to book a room if you want to dine here in the evenings.

Tyddyn Llan - July 13
This restaurant, which has had a Michelin star since 2010, is fully booked until July 13.
However, tables were already filling up on this date, so they recommended July 20.
The husband and wife duo say their restaurant is committed to fine seasonal produce, arriving daily. What could be better?

Restaurant James Sommerin - July 13

We could get a table and this well regarded Penarth restaurant on July 13, but there were only two available - one at 8.30pm and one at 9pm.
The week after, on July 20, had similar availability with available tables at 7pm and 8.30pm.

The Clink - July 6
All the meals at The Clink Restaurant at HMP Cardiff are cooked and served by prisoners in training to help them learn, engage with the public and take their first steps towards a new life.
There were two tables available on July 6 at 6.30pm and 7.30pm.
Even staff at The Clink were surprised they had tables available so soon, so we suggest you book well in advance.
After that, they had nothing available until July 20.

Heaneys Restaurant - July 6

This relatively new Cardiff venue has shot to the top of many people's wishlist.
It specialises in small plates for sharing, had availability for two people on the evening of July 6.

The Walnut Tree - July 6
The restaurant, praised for being "unfussy but consistently immaculate" is fully booked this weekend, with the next available booking at 8pm on a Saturday was July 6.
Staff recommended getting your booking in at least two-weeks in advance because Saturday evenings fill up quickly.

The Felin Fach Griffin - July 6

This Brecon gastropub is fully booked this Saturday, but they offered lots of slots on July 6 from 6pm to 9pm.
The busiest time at this venue is 7.30pm, so book as early as possible if this is your desired time.

The Hare & Hounds - July 6

The Hare and Hounds, which is known for its brilliant food in a classy setting, is a firm favourite with those in the area and pulls in customers from even further afield.
The menu changes daily, depending what's available or in season.
Tables were available on July 6.
Their busiest time is between 6pm and 7pm.

Pysgoty - July 3
This tiny Aberystwyth seafood restaurant is definitely worth getting a spot in your diary for.
There were no Saturday evening bookings for two available until Wednesday July 3 at 8.15.
In the words of a staff member: “We book up very, very quickly” - not surprising given it seats just 16 people.

Asador 44 - This weekend
There’s no problem if you want to dine at this Spanish restaurant this weekend.
Known for its grilled meat, fish and vegetables, it also has a cheese cave.
They had tables available 6pm, 6.30pm, 9pm, 8pm and 8.30pm and earlier.
To guarantee a table though, they recommended booking early in the week.

Harbourmaster Hotel - This weekend

Fancy fine dining with a view this weekend? You’re in luck.
The renowned Harbourmaster restaurant, which overlooks Aberaeron's quayside, had available tables this weekend.
Expect seafood, an excellent wine list, and an awful lot of hwyl.

Y Polyn - This weekend
In their own words: "You won’t find foams, gels and technical wizardry on the plate. What you will find is beautiful produce cooked simply and with respect."
This weekend, Y Polyn had 12 tables booked with eight more available when we called.
The restaurant said they expected the remaining tables to be gone soon though, so book a place earlier on in the week.

The Potted Pig - This weekend

The restaurant, which is located in a former bank vault beneath Cardiff city, had available slots this weekend from 7pm onwards.
Next Saturday (July 6) had good availability too, but they expect July 13 to be busier, so the earlier you book, the better.
Expect a great gin list, a new snack menu, and some lovely food.

Bryn Williams at Porth Eirias - This weekend

When we called, there was room for table for two this Saturday - apart from 6.30pm to 7pm when the restaurant is at its busiest.
Run by Bryn Williams - the chef known for Odette's in Primrose Hill, and his newer venture at London's Somerset House - this is a way to try the Welshman's food closer to home.
They are usually fully booked on Friday and Saturday night, but you are able to book a place up until 9pm

The Foresters - This weekend
If you fancy contemporary Welsh cuisine at somewhere with a growing reputation , you’ll be able to book a table for two here this weekend.
We were available to book a table either around 6pm to 6.30pm or 8pm to 8.30pm.
They said they should be able to fit two people in if we called through the week.

Junction 28 - This weekend

Situated in a former railway station, Junction 28 had spaces this weekend.
Their busiest time is between 7pm and 8pm, though they can generally fit two people in on Saturday evenings.
It’s best to ring up just to be sure - especially if you want a spot in the converted train carriage.
