Grammy Award winning and multi-platinum selling music artist The Weeknd will play his debut Bangkok concert at Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani, on Dec 2 at 8pm.

Presented by Live Nation BEC-Tero, "The Weeknd Asia Tour Live in Bangkok" will delight the audience with many chart-topping hits by the R&B, alternative, pop and hip-hop artist who broke into the music scene with the release of the critically acclaimed mixtape House Of Balloons in 2011.

His first studio album, Kiss Land (2013), debuted at No.2 on the US Billboard 200 while his second album, Beauty Behind The Madness (2015), peaked at No.1 in several countries including the US and the UK, and earned him two Grammys. It includes two No.1 singles -- The Hills and Cant' Feel My Face.

His third album, Starboy (2016), topped the US Billboard 200 and Billboard's Canadian Albums Chart and earned him a third Grammy. This March also saw the release of his first mini-album, My Dear Melancholy, which debuted at No.1 on, again, the US Billboard 200.

The Weeknd is the stage name of Abel Tesfaye, a 28-year-old Canadian singer and songwriter of Ethiopian descent. His Asia tour will kick off in Hong Kong at the end of next month before he will head to Bangkok. After that, he will perform in Singapore, Manila, Taipei, Seoul and Tokyo.

Tickets cost 2,500, 3,500, 4,000, 4,500, 5,000 and 6,000 baht and can be purchased from Thai Ticket Major outlets (visit thaiticetmajor.com or call 02-262-3838).
