Something wicked this way comes. To Chili’s, that is. TikTok account ‘Chilexa,’ (@alchi_chilexa), which is a joint account between friends Chi and Alexa, has gone viral after one of them decided to take on a server’s challenge in order to get a free “Wicked” margarita at Chili’s.
On-screen text explains the context in the clip. The waiter allegedly said that if Chi does the Defying Gravity riff, she will get a free drink. Surprisingly, Chi calls his bluff and proceeds to perform the riff in the crowded restaurant. She is met with rapturous applause.
In the video description, the friends quipped, “Coming to a Chili’s near you.”
The video amassed 8.1 million views. The TikTokers didn’t immediately respond to The Mary Sue’s request for comment via TikTok comment.
Commenters were amused
The commenters seemed just as entertained by the performance as the rest of Chili’s. “The hand on the ear,” one commenter wrote, followed by a crying emoji. “She meant business.”
“THE WAY THEY ALL CHEERED FOR YOU LOL” a second wrote.
“NOT THE PEOPLE CLAPPING,” a third exclaimed, adding three crying emojis.
For a fourth commenter, this clip further reinforced Chili’s superiority, as they noted that “this is exactly why Chili’s will always be elite.”
While a fifth asked, “Is this like a server side quest? Because someone did the riff at my local Chili’s too.”
Furthermore, a sixth commenter, a server, even said that they felt inspired by the riff, writing, “Oh I gotta ask one of my tables to do this.”

What are Chili’s Wicked margaritas?
Chili’s is renowned for its Margarita of the Month. However, for the month of November, the eatery introduced some double trouble. For the first time ever, two Margaritas of the Month were named. As part of the promotion for John M Chu’s “Wicked: For Good,” Chili’s introduced two themed margaritas: one inspired by Elphaba and one inspired by Glinda.
The first drink, which is known as the Witches Brew, is made with Blue Curaçao, Lunazul Blanco Tequila, Granny Smith Apple syrup, and sour. It is garnished with a swizzle stick inspired by Elphaba’s broom.
The second is known as Glinda’s Good Witch Marg. It is made with Lunazul Blanco Tequila, Monin Dragon Fruit Syrup, triple sec, sour, and soda water. This drink’s swizzle stick is inspired by Glinda’s wand.
While the margaritas cost $6 each, they are ‘Popular’ with customers, and they are also going viral on TikTok due to the heavy-duty hangovers people are getting from them. No rest for the wicked, right?
