The Warriors’ massive new scoreboard predicted a 54-point win over the Lakers

The Golden State Warriors will have a new home this coming season as they move to the billion-dollar Chase Center in San Francisco. And by all accounts, the arena looks spectacular.

They’ll open the preseason against the Lakers at the arena on Oct. 5, and the Warriors are waiting little time to use the Chase Center to troll their Pacific Division rivals.

The Warriors held their Chase Center media tour on Monday, giving reporters a look at everything from the game presentation to the court to the food and luxury suites. But take a look at the massive new scoreboard — more specifically, the score on the game recap. That is, uh, a lopsided score.

The Warriors had Golden State beating the Lakers by a cool 54 points, shooting 62 percent from the floor and hitting 21 3s. They’re not lacking in confidence.

But hey, at least they didn’t have their team losing like the Atlanta Braves did with a SunTrust Park rendering.

The rest of the arena looks awesome as well.

I just wouldn’t expect that score line to become reality.
