Golden State Warriors GM Bob Myers addressed the media after Game 5 of the NBA Finals and instead of being jubilant over his team’s incredible victory in Toronto, he was in tears over Kevin Durant’s injury.
It was such a stunning press conference to see live on ESPN, as Myers broke down while talking about Durant’s injury, which he said was an Achilles injury that they will find out more about when Durant undergoes an MRI.
Myers said if there’s anyone to blame, blame him, and then he stood up for Durant and what kind of person he is and how much of a competitor he is for wanting to come back and try to help his team win.
