The Warriors congratulated the Raptors with a full-page ad in Toronto paper

The Golden State Warriors saw their hopes of winning three straight NBA titles come to an end in last week’s Game 6 loss to the Raptors.

And overall, it was a brutal series for Golden State.

The team lost both Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson to serious injuries and now faces plenty of uncertainty heading into the offseason.

The Warriors, though, still managed to handle the loss with class (well, aside from a rogue part owner). Ahead of Monday’s Raptors championship parade, the Warriors took out a full-page ad in the Toronto Star to congratulate the Raptors on their historic NBA title. (Expand tweet to see full ad)

The ad included a photo of Steph Curry hugging Kyle Lowry. The classy caption read:

“The Golden State Warriors congratulate the Toronto Raptors on their historic achievement and bringing the 2019 NBA championship to the city of Toronto.”

That was a great gesture from Golden State — and something rarely seen after a hard-fought series.
