Tim Sherwood has shared a warning to Tottenham and to Jose Mourinho, informing both parties of the changes they must adapt to after their new allegiance.
Mourinho took charge in North London last week, succeeding Mauricio Pochettino in the role, and guided the Lilywhites to a 3-2 victory in the London derby against West Ham on Saturday.
While that victory gave the club a solid platform to build upon, Sherwood is wary of how the squad will adapt to the changes that Mourinho will bring.
As well as that, he has also told Mourinho he must get used to seeing Daniel Levy regularly at the club's training ground - an aspect he's never had to cope with before.
"They've got to get used to it, the players, they've got to get used to the dynamics of this type of manager because they've had Pochettino for five years," he told BeIN Sports.
"Even when they weren't playing well, he would protect them publicly. Jose will throw you under the bus, I'm not saying it's right or that it's wrong, but Jose Mourinho does not care, he does what he thinks is right for the team, not the individual player.
"So if that means digging a player out in public and using him as an example, he will do that because he feels that is the best way that he can win trophies. Why would you change it?
"Also, he Jose has to get used to the dynamic of going into that training ground everyday and Daniel Levy sitting there in his office, that's his base. He’s never had that before. Ed Woodward, where is he? You'd never see him but you’re going to see Daniel Levy every day.
"When you have lunch, he's going to be sitting there, when you're training and you're looking up at that office, he's looking at your training session, not that he knows much about it!"
