The Wanted's Tom Parker is hosting a star-studded charity gig amid his brain tumour battle.

The singer took to his Twitter account to share the news, as well as the first look at the poster promoting the event.

His 'Inside My Head' gig will take place at The Royal Albert Hall on September 20 this year, and is in aid of Stand Up To Cancer and The National Brain Appeal, which supports people with neurological conditions.

The show will be hosted by radio presenters Roman Kemp and Sonny Jay, with a list of celebrity performers due to be announced this week.

Proceeds raised from tickets will be split equally between Stand Up To Cancer and The National Brain Appeal.

Tickets are on sale on The Royal Albert Hall's website and are priced between £49.88 to £135.88.

Highlights from the show will be shown in his upcoming Channel 4 documentary, titled 'Tom Parker, Inside my Head'.

Tom has promised some "truly amazing artists" will be making an appearance on the night.

He previously said on Twitter: "You may have heard I've been filming a documentary for Channel 4 titled 'Tom Parker, Inside my Head'.

"Well now I'm very proud to announce 'Tom Parker, Inside My Head - The Concert' at The Royal Albert Hall on Monday September 20th.

"I've got some truly amazing artists lined up to perform, it's going to be a very special night."

Tom, who shares two children with his wife Kelsey Hardwick, revealed he is battling an inoperable brain tumour back in October last year.

He was diagnosed after suffering from a seizure and was put on the waiting list for an MRI which revealed the sad news.

Last week Tom shared the happy news that doctors told him his brain tumour had decreased in size.

Tom illustrated the post with a snap of himself stood in a recording studio with a pair of headphones on.

Tom said on Instagram : "OK... here goes. The last couple of days have been filled with dread and worry but I'm pleased to announce that the results of yesterday's scan (lovely birthday present), are stable with a slight reduction in the tumour if anything.

"I can't tell you how grateful I am to receive this news.

"We left it a little longer between scans this time just to give time for the medication to work etc but overall a great day.

"Thanks to all our healthcare team. You are truly wonderful.

"And thank you all you lovely people out there sending love and support. It really is so appreciated. Time to celebrate."
