The Wanted's Tom Parker 'so proud' as daughter Aurelia wins dance trophy

Terminally ill Tom Parker has said he is “so proud” after his daughter won her first dance trophy.

The Wanted singer – who has been diagnosed with an incurable brain tumour – showed off a cute photo of two-year-old Aurelia holding her medal.

Taking to Instagram to share the precious moment with his 300,000 followers, the 33-year-old wrote: “So proud.”

Wearing a big pink glitter bow in her hair and matching dance costume, little Aurelia beamed at the camera as she clutched her medal.

In another sweet snap shared from Aurelia’s own Instagram page, which mum Kelsey Hardwick manages, the youngster is seen with a gold cup in her hands.

A series of snaps posted to the @aureliaroseparker Instagram account, show the talented youngster posing with her prize.

The post was captioned: “I have a trophy. I loved competing in my first competition last week. Cannot wait to do it again.”

Despite not being able to walk due to his illness, Aurelia’s brave dad Tom has been joining The Wanted on stage as they tour around the UK.

The singer was hailed a “hero” by his bandmates after appearing during their penultimate tour performance.

The Wanted’s Max George paid tribute to his close friend as well as sharing pics of them all relaxing at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool.

Writing on Instagram, Max said: "It's been an epic few weeks… One last show my boy…

"You are a true hero mate. Can't wait for the next tour with you…Liverpool… Can you hear us???!"

It was an emotional night as Tom's wife Kelsey brought their children Aurelia, two, and son Bodhi, one, along to watch their daddy perform.

Tom was diagnosed with stage 4 glioblastoma in 2020 and shared the news in October that year.

He is now in a wheelchair as the tumour has left him too weak to stand, but he has still been doing as much as he can.

Tom surprised fans by appearing on stage in Bournemouth before joining the band again in Cardiff, where he sang while sitting on a gold throne.

Following the most recent leg of the long-anticipated tour in Manchester, Tom took a rest under a blanket while sipping on a beer as he enjoyed some down time with his bandmates.

When Tom was originally given his diagnosis in 2020, doctors told him he could live for another 18 months.

In November 2021, he shared an emotional update with fans saying the tumour was now “under control”.

He wrote: “I’m say here with tears in my eyes as I tell you. We’ve got my brain tumour under control. We had the results from my latest scan... and I’m delighted to say it is STABLE.”

The singer has been since been visiting a specialist clinic in Spain to receive revolutionary treatment, which he hopes will prolong or save his life.
