Max George has given a scary reminder of the dangers of diving in the sea as he showed off his bloodied and bruised face after taking a dip.
The Wanted singer, 32, was given a shock when he hit a rock head on during a swim in the ocean as he urged fans to learn from his mistake and always wear goggles.
Max is currently on holiday with girlfriend Stacey Giggs where the incident happened.
Taking to Instagram, Max shared a selfie showing the wound to his eye as he admitted he was lucky he wasn't blinded in the collision.
The star told fans he had dived into the Adriatic Sea where his head crashed into a 'massive' rock on the seabed.
The incident was particularly shocking to Max who nearly lost his sight due to a nasty eye infection ten years ago that led to him having part of his left eye removed.
As a result Max as then left with impaired vision in his right eye.
Showing images of his injury to instagram, Max told his followers "Always wear goggles in the sea."
He then joked: "You should see the other guy. A MASSIVE rock at the bottom of the Adriatic.:
His fellow boyband member Tom Parker commented on the post: " 'Getting beaten up by the rock" to which Max responded: "I hit my face on a rock at the bottom of the sea."
Max's girlfriend Stacey called him a 'muppet' after his accident.
The pair are going from strength to strength after first being linked romantically in April 2019 - although they met eight years before.
Max has called the mum-of-two 'The One.'
"I’ve always said I’ve wanted kids but never committed to it in my own head but I think Stacey’s the one," he previously told The Sun.
"We would love to add to the family at some point, that would be amazing. Obviously there are no guarantees but I’m sure we both feel the same way."
Max and Stacey first met at V Festival in 2011 when the boyband star was performing with The Wanted.
At the time Max was dating Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan, who went on to marry Mark Wright.

While Stacey was married to footballer Ryan Giggs.
The pair ended their marriage in April 2016 five years after it was revealed that Ryan had been having an affair with his own brother's wife.
Ryan was said to have begun his secret affair with brother Rhodri's wife Natasha Lever in 2003 a year after he first met Stacey, with whom he shares two children.
